Carphone Warehouse Insurance

Last week I was doing an unusual thing and looking at my bank statement, and I saw that the Carphone Warehouse had taken out £25, which was odd because I didn't think I had any contracts with them. I phoned up and found out that it was an insurance policy I'd taken out on a phone in 2001, and they were also still taking out £25 a quarter for another they sold me in 2003! It was their Lifeline policy, and I assumed it finished after a year, or whenever I cancelled the phone contract, but no, it would have lasted forever. When I pointed it out to them, they refunded the whole amount, so I was suddenly £332 better of than I had been half an hour before! Serves me right for not checking my statements before I suppose though.
