I'm having problems with MSE, can anyone help???

I have done a search but have been unable to find anything ............................................................................My problem is that here at work, since the recent upgrade-y thing of MSE, I cannot use paragraphs, post smileys from the side gallery, I cannot thank people as when I click on "thanks" I just get thrown up to the top of the page!!! It's getting worse now in that I can't even view avatars anymore!!! Can anyone please give me any advice??? ..........................................................................................Thanks in advance. (sorry for the lack of para's!!)

Purpleprincess I know what you mean, although I can say thanks - but can't see them. (I could, then I couldn't, then I could, now I can't again!!)and as for paragrpahs - there won't be one in this reply!!Not for the want of trying....

Which web browser are you using?

Is Javascript enabled? See http://www.classixshop.com/acatalog/javascript.html for how to enable Javascript in different browsers.

Does the problem also occur in a different browser?

Are you using any sort of ad blocker? These can also block animated GIFs, which some of the smileys are.

Try deleting Internet Temporary Files.

I had similar problems, every page wouldload with error symbol in bottom left of IE bar at bottom so now just view MSE via Firefox(with images disabled as it takes forever to load otherwise), everything else I stick with IE. Don't know what caused it as it happened on the various PC's and laptops I use so wasn't anything specific to one setup.

Thanks for the replies, I have tried deleting cookies and temporary internet files but this hasn't changed anything. Also in the bottom left hand corner of the screen I have got a little yellow triangle with ! in it and it always says that there are errors!

You have not answered the questions in post #5. You need to work though each thing in turn. Did you try getting the latest CSS file as per the other threads in This site Q & S Are you using any form of online accelerator i.e. onspeed etc? Does your browser pass all tests on this testpage?

My guess is that the browser is IE (please confirm). Try double-clicking the yellow triangle. What is the complete and exact error message displayed in the little pop-up window?

Hiya! sorry about not answering the questions, oops!! I am using IE, Javascript is enabled, all other websites I visit are fine, it's just MSE, not sure about the ad blocker, how would I find this out? It was fine before the recent MSE upgrade thingy!! Have deleted temporary internet files and it has made no difference. Thanks!
