    Spoke to Creda

They will send an engineer out within 4 weeks, not ideal but better than a kick up the backside!

4 weeks sounds carp, ask them what you are meant to do in the mean time.

My Mira shower came with a 2 year warranty but I bought it new from a private seller on EBay and at 18 months it conked out. Fortunately the Mira Engineer came out and he was great all under warranty.

It the broke again and I told him it was same fault and he said no way and replaced the PCB (and it still didn't work) same problem as I had predicted (flow valve) so that was replaced again.

So I got a virtually new shower.........:)

By the way the charge was going to be £65 + parts if not under warranty. Which on a shower I had paid £110 (RRP £190?) was a little scary.

So youj take the shower off the wall or your central heating boiler back yto the shop.

These companies have engineers that deal with these problems.
  • Just thought I would update so far....
Creda arranged an engineer for Friday between 9am-11am, who didn't turn up.

Rang up, promised engineer today between 9am-10am, no engineer.

Awaiting Creda calling me back to advise when exactly the engineer is going to turn up.

B&Q were OK in fairness, they said they would never recommend a customer should remove a shower to bring it in, they offered to ring Creda on my behalf in the first instance but due to the dangers involved of an amatuer disconnecting a shower, they'd prefer to act upon Creda's instructions if there is anything they need to do. The also said they have had a few problems on this model so they no longer stock it.

That's poor service. I think creda outsource the repairs, so make a complaint about the missed calls.
