Can you get out of 24 month contracts? or get a better deal?
I am currently with o2 (and have been for some time), due to wanting the 'iphone' i signed up for a 24 month contract with quite frankly a rubbish deal (300mins and 500 texts i think?) for around £30/£35 per month (my last contract with them was 1000 text and 500 mins for same price)
Anyways i am always going over the allowance for text messages and this month my bill came to £71.54!! which is not good being a student.
Is there anything that anyone could recommend i do in order to get out of my contract, or get a better deal? I there any way you can send the phone back and get a different one with a different deal?
I think i have been on the contract for around 6 months now?
I know the other option is to limit my phone use and be more careful but i just wanted to enquire to see if anyone has any advice for me.
many thanks

I think your only option is to carry on with it. You can't cancel it and you can't change the tarrif to a lower one until you are half way through the contract.
You could ask them to move you up to a higher contract with ultd texts for example which will be cheaper than your last bill but obviously more than you are paying now0 -
same sort of reply - they won't cancel early, as the cost of the phone is priced into the full term, but you can go up a bit - look at the tariffs £5 or £10 a month upwards from yours and see what would suit you better0

Can you not up your tariff to get more texts?0 -
Call and get the £7.50 500 extra text bolt on?
You can't come out and you can't change the phone.. Other option is to go to a non iphone tariff. :beer:0
