Microsoft store later add on £20 delivery!

Pre-ordered two copies of Windows 7 in July from the Micosoft online store £49.99 each printed out the transaction which clearly stated shipping charge £0.00. They were delivered 2 months later.
Went through emails yesterday and there was a conformation with £20 delivery charge which was even billed seperatley from the main charge.
Emailed them and they replied:

"Thank you for your e-mail.
We would like to inform you that you are charged once the products are
placed in delivery.
It is stated in our terms and condition for charge detail."

Can they do this do we now need to check every conformation email in case there is something hidden in the terms and conditions?
Have I any chance of a refund on this I would not have ordered the physical disks if I was aware at the time of ordering.

    Hi,

I can not see how they can charge you delivery for something if it was not on the invoice ... but what did the t&cs say?

I think they are on very thin ice here, even if it's covered by some small print that you weren't aware of.

    I wrote the following

In addition to information below I have found my initial receipt I
printed out at the time of the transaction which clearly states shipping total £0.00. This is very bad and I would not have bothered ordering the physical disks if I was warned you were later going to change your mind
and charge me £20 for them!

I have replied asking for them to point to the part of the terms where it states they can stick delivery on at a later date and that it costs £20 to deliver a DVD!

Right here is the reply clear as mud! Any suggestions what I do next?
Still cant believe they can list shipping ) on the transaction because there is somethin in the terms and conditions!

    Thank you for your e-mail.

We would like to inform you that you have purchase download+ back up
DVD. In this case the total amount that you have paid for is GBP 120.32.
When we send the link we charge GBP 100 and when we send the DVDs we
charge rest which is GBP 20.32
If you have bought download only, you would pay GBP 120.32 also.
If you were charged more please inform us with the copies of the bank
    statement which relate to us.

Please feel free to contact us if you should have any further questions. We are happy to help.

So it appears that what they are saying is that if you purchased the download version (ie. without cds) or with backup (ie. with cds sent to you) it should be the same price ... so when they send you the cds, they charge you the extra bit ... but doesn't make sense to me ... you received an invoice for £100, don't see how they can add £20 on later on ....

The receipt (invoice) received would have been for the download portion (as they had only charged you for the download so far). When they then despatched the CD's then the additional amount would have been taken, hence producing an additional receipt.

When you placed the order the total amount would have been £120 but the thing that has confused matters, was the fact that they have debited in two seperate transactions, and provided two receipts.

    OlliesDad ...

I agree that this is what has happened .... the question is ... does it tell the OP at time of ordering the cost of the sending of CDs .... I assume it does .,...??
