FREE Software - and a related site grumble!

This is kind of an article recommendation and a site grumble at the same time...

You would think that MSE would be right behind the developers of Open Source and other free-to-own computer software and be doing whatever they can to support it. So why does the site say that it is optimised only for Microsoft's Internet Explorer?

For the record, the site seems to work perfectly in all browsers and , yes, I know Internet Explorer is free (*as long as* you're using Windows) but you can get much better for the same price (i.e. free) and MSE should be supporting people who make software for free!

I think it is worth pointing out that Firefox and Opera will display any page properly that conforms to the accepted web standards.

Microsoft - being Microsoft - have created their own set of different standards.

So it's not that us users of other browsers go around ureasonably demanding sites do extra work for our browsers - more the case that sites choose to design specifically for Microsoft.

Having said that, it's rare for me to find an mse page that doesn't work properly
