I am now at the end of my 12 month contract with Vodafone and would like to know which is the best and easiest way to cancel my contract.

Thanks,

Fortyfoot

    Info here .

You will need to give 30 days notice if you are on 12 month contract which has finished (would have been better to do that in 11th month of a 12 month contract).

Thanks for that OneADay I have sent them an email.

I could not read the small print in the conditions which came with the contract, otherwise the service from them has been fine.

Thanks again for your help OneADay, unfortunately the information on the web page is not up to date.

I have just Spoken to Steve Smith on 191 and he told me there was no evidece of an email being sent and the letter of termination should not have been sent to Doncaster it should have been sent to Vodafone Disconections, PO Box 549, Banbury, Oxon, OX17 3ZJ.

He did offer me a £15 per month 600 mins anytime.

He was very helpful, unlike the Vodafone reps on MSE and their website.

Sorry they must have changed addresses - I can see their new address being mentioned in the T&C.

I cancelled a vodafone contract back in June 2009 by sending them an email via the web first. Then I phoned up about 4 days later to confirm. In fact I simply asked them to put me on pay and go - and they did (I did not need the number for a new contract I got elsewhere).

Thanks for the info - I will have to make a note about this for my brother's vodafone contract when it ends. in November.

I cancelled Vodafone in Sept 2009. Told them over the phone, they told me to email in via the contact us link. Email sent (asking for PAC), and received (i rang to confirm)

They made an offer, not good enough so i got the PAC code and left to orange.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

If you read the threads on here you will find they have a regular habit of making promises over the phone which are better than what you actually get. Length (the overlap and costs /details of the contract are at least often if not usually not what they offer you). If I were you I'd insist on written confirmation before you agree to anything they offer by phone, or else you may become yet another irate victim on these threads spending hours trying to get them to honour their oral agreements. I stronlgy suspect that all the people on the other end of the phone purely work on commission and Vodafone deems it perfectly acceptable for them to LIE in order to make a sale and earn some money ( for themselves as well as Vodafone!). You could do worse than this one:-
