wageslave "it is a really nice bag" - hehehe love it! Brilliant! made me laugh out loud, fair play to you!

    Ta. Appreciated, I think.

Not so very many years ago, the cleaner in my office took the bus home and I walked because the fare was beyond me. I left an abusive husband with a small child and a black bag full of clothes a couple of kindly cops made sure I got.

    I won't apologise for surviving.

I know what skint is. I know what desperation tastes like. Trust me, I haven't forgotten.

I can afford nice stuff now, for me and my daughter. I have and do work hard for our sh it. Don't imagine it has come easy.

wageslave going back to the original post of "were we ever content" I guess you have to think that 40/50 years ago you wouldn't have been able to leave an abusive husband...society would have expected you to stay with him and put up with it...so our country can't be so bad now can it if it means women have the freedom to stay safe and keep their children safe??
Well done on getting your life together x

true...but I suppose this whole thread is about the state of society and as we are not all anthropologists or sociologists we will have to make some assumptions in order to put forward our points of view, which is essentially all I have done. I wish i knew the answers to why our society is why it is...but an opinion will have to do!

I think we shoud all be the best of both, all the time and stop making assumptions cause our view doesn't matter, in the long term.

Would you like to Join me and Boomerangs in flying a kyte sometime? Might make us all feel more in control??? We might find some answers??

In my mothers day you'd have stayed and found another way, possibly murder.

As for being easy, I left ten years ago and if you think it was easy you haven't tried it. I can't see that anything is so much changed meantime. I hope I am wrong.

It was a Sunday and a neighbour called the cops. One day too many I suppose. Who can blame them.

When they came, I was hiding in the garden with my daughter by the hand. Here's your rights. You have fu cking none. Want your stuff, hope a cop will keep him talking while you sneak back in.

You think it is better now than then. Try it.

    I thought so to.

Is that why your so offensive and angry towards others? I mean, feel free to speak your mind but we tend to hold a certain amount of constraint here. We've formed, over many decades, somekind of civilised society - it's not perfect but the majority of people here know thier bounderies.

We are happy to help you but you must want to change as we need to ensure the safety of our own generic population, you understand.

So you can come here and have many oppportunities open to you to make you a real person or you can stay where you are and live, and be treated, like a dog.

    ps. I like dogs:eek:

You can continue to talk to the halfwits that bought you were you are today. It's always best to be in familiar surroundings.

We can't all be perfect like you bootski.

I guess not, you've so many issues to get right in your head, but don't worry - I was young once too and, mistakes you learn from, they make you humble.

    God bless

Just when you get older, you've no excuse to make the same mistakes again,
