Seriously though, do they have a remote control for the lifting?
Thanks. Sue
Yes it also has the tilt forward bit to help him get out easily. Very important as he has no power in his arms to push with.
Whichever you buy make sure there are at least 4 buttons on the remote.0 -
I've got a Sherbourne 1612.
Once the arthritis started to bite, I couldn't manage the sofa anymore & DH's armchair was no better so I splashed out & have appreciated it every day since.
Thanks, that's interesting. My local mobility shop guy recommended the Sherbourne too. Did you get yours locally or via a national site (sorry to bombard you with questions!)0 -
I bought mine in a local furniture store that has a couple of South Wales branches - Arthur Llewellyn Jenkins. They're a proper shop iyswim as it is a family business, & so they delivered it, set it up for me & rang a few days later to check everything was going well.
I tried about 8 or 9 chairs with the assistant raising each one for me before I chose the 1612. It is quite 'pretty', fits in with the exisiting furniture & does not look like medical equipment. As I said, it was about £700 with the VAT reduction - I think this was a sale price too.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
