    soz for delay, have just got pc back had to get a local tecy to fix it as i was at a loss. not your fault by the way
    ran combofix before the bug was reported and it trashed my pc have had to have windows.drivers reinstalled and reinstall other programs.
    loss outlook express and all emails saved and all saved documents so well fed up. effectively starting again

    never known combofix to do that to a pc before....you did follow all the instructions as you went through the process ?? , especially turning off your antivirus ??

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • That is why they say never run combofix without advice - The developer was aware of the problem and released another programme to fix what the CF quarentined.

    Although this in itself isn't "new".....not seen any new bugs reported in the last few weeks, and I've run it without issue on several pc's in that timeframe...any pointers R_S ??

    yes followed instructions .had no problem the first time i used it a while back. have since discovered a bug was reported after i ran it

    i only ever have run it when requested, first time a while back i had no problems with it. only this time was different which i have since found out after i was asked to run it that a bug was reported.
