Bit more than a HHC but I have made 3 Christmas tree bags with the fabric I was saving for something useful! One is in Winne the pooh, one in teddy bear and one a orangy/gold colour :D

It took a few mins to remember how to thread the machine!

Going to put the decs in the loft now, put off before now because of the Christmas tree being too heavy to lift in one go, now it's sorted :j

Back in 30 and if not can someone call for help I am stuck in the loft :rotfl:

jinky hope you feel easier soon
LadyL hope you feel brighter later - take care xx
sexy sorry to hear you are poorly - take care of yourself (((hugs)))
toochoosey awhh a (((hug))) for you too sweetie - do something nice - go for a wee walk or listen to something nice or watch tv.
keys baby wipes are great for general cleaning on leather sofas but would doubt if they would shift nail varnish - be careful with the remover - you dont want to take the colour of the sofa too! go to google and type in 'how to get nail varnish of leather sofa' and you will get some ideas to try - good luck
AnW'sMum - you are not getting stuck so that some hunky firemen can rescue you - thats not allowed:rotfl: well done with the sewing - that was quick!!!

I only managed to clear and clean the worksurfaces
emptied the shredding bin and put out all the other paper
put away some stuff from the kitchen to clear the worksurfaces
    S&S the bathroom

    toots xx

ETA I forgot ....I also managed to get the shower curtains down so that they can go in the wash when the current load is done.
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

ps I didn't realise but the soup is meant to cook for 10 hours - do you think it'll be OK if I have the SC on high for, say, 2 hours and then turn down to low at 12.30? I'm a bit of a novice at all this home cooking lark :o

I did a gammon joint overnight in the SC on low then took it out this morning. Drainned out the washed out bits of veg and the joint. Then I added fresh veg and various pulses to the stock, plus some of the gammon flaked up. This will go on high till lunch when I will check it. If it is looking good and getting cooked will turn it down till later. I haven't decided if we are having the soupy/stew today or tommorow as the rest of the gammon will do at least 2 more meals for us :).

It really depends on the power of your SC, I find most stuff will cook on high within 4-5 hours so can go on at lunchtime, but use the low setting if I want to do a joint slow, or stock/a meal overnight. But yes I sometimes do high for a couple of hours, then check and turn down for the rest of the day. I find high on mine bubbles around the side, so is like a low simmer in a pan on the stove, low is literally a gentle long heating that you couldn't do in a pan.

If in doubtyour could do it quicker in a pressure cooker? Or stick it in the SC anyway and have a backup plan (say a meal from later in the weeks plan-if you mealplan) and the soup when done will keep in the fridge till tommorow.
