Orange Mobile Broadband Billing

Can anyone out there help. I am a new user of Orange Mobile Broadband and am having a problem reliably monitoring my monthly usage in the obvious attempt to make sure I don't go over my 3gb limit.
However I find myself up against the following problems.
1.. you can't find out online by for instance going into "My Account". It's not helped by being in the Orange Mobile Phone area, which looks as if it's the poor relation and doesn't have proper broadband usage tracking.
2.. There appears to be 2 "management" programs that you can run on the actual PC. Orange Internet Everywhere and "Orange Mobile Partner" why two ? Neither give me any confidence of being accurate, especialy as one of them won't reset with the appropriate button. It's there but not highlighted.
3.. The bill (useless in detail) when it does arrive is in advance and assumes 3gb usage !
So I've resorted to also running TBBmeter alongside everything else. The problem with this is that in the event of a problem it'll have no credability with Orange. So I now have 3 running totals all starting at different dates etc.
I know all about not downloading films and that 3gb is enough for the average user, but I would also like the ability to know exactly what my usage is.
An experienced Orange user must have the answer ???
