Alba 0.75m HDMI cable & HD TV?

I have sony Bravia tv, sony play station 3.
I am trying to connect Alba 0.75m HDMI cable. It shows on a blank screen 576p but it wont go on to HD.
Advice would be appreciated, Thankyou

HDMI cable into PS3 and into TV. Check with HDMI input you have used. Select input on TV. That really should be it!0
