Need help - Being overcharged by Vodafone
Hi Guys
Myself and my fiance both have Vodafone contracts, hers is £20 per month and mine is £10 per month thanks to a retention deal. However last month we had a bill for over £50 and this month it is £46. Ive called vodafone who advised me I had been incorrectly charged for text messages and they said they would give me a small refund. When I called them today they said I wouldnt get the refund as I had been texting 08 numbers?? they also said I had charged for £12 for downloading a sat nav app and music which i have never done and never would do.
Im confused as if someone was doing this maliciously they wouldnt be getting any benefit as Vodafone are getting the money so is there any other reason that this has happened?
I never leave my phone unattended and my fiance never downloads anything and wouldnt have a use for sat nav as she doesnt drive!!
Is this a known problem that happens if your SIM is "jacked" somehow?
Vodafone will not refund me as its the system and they say I have downloaded this stuff. Please can anybody help me with this as im really panicking now
Thanks in advance.

You can look at your itemised billing to see what usage has been made. 08 texts will not be part of your allowance and data usage wont be either unless you have internet addon.0

ive just called voda back and spoke to an english guy who said i had "agreed" to an intenet and music package, but he has cancelled this off. he said the texts to 08 numbers was actually because I had received texts from unscrupulous companies who charge you if you dont text STOP back to them after the first free text.
Thats me suitably annoyed for the rest of the day, being stitched up by a retention guy back in november and also my own fault for not texting STOP to someone i didnt ask to text me in the first place - Shocking.Mortgage at August 2017 - £169,800

Plenty of unscrupulous companies around - if you know who the company is, you can raise a complaint to http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk.0

These premium rate numbers are being mysteriously dialled from iphones. I am only guessing but you may have had a similar problem.
