Sky TV & Broadband cancellation

Called Sky to cancel TV and Broadband only to be told that it was 31 days to cancel TV, but Broadband would be cancelled in 8 days. Is this legal?
I would have thought the TV and Broadband contact would end at the same time. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Why would it be illegal. They have to send requests to certain departments then get bt to remove the broadband from the line.
Plus if its cancelled you wont pay anything more so why complain you could have easy got a MAC code if you wanted to move to another isp.0
