Advice on where to buy a PC similar to this...

What purpose are you looking to buy the computer for, gaming?0

Well assuming there are other people wanting a PC out there, I would suggest looking on Ebuyer, and avoiding brands like DELL and Packard Bell which often use non-standard parts, making upgrades/repairs expensive. Think about are you trying to run NASA or surf the Net and do a bit of office work or play games, if it is to out do NASA then good luck to your bank manager, if it is to do average things, photos, net, music you will find a PC with a Dual Core Processor, 2gb of Ram and 500gb HD will serve you well enough and if you want to save more money give LINUX , Ubuntu, Fedora, MINT a go, they are easier to use these days and contain much of the software you could ever want for No-cost - such as Open Office, GNU-Cash, GIMP, Firefox, and tons of otherstuff for DVD writing, Music, Ipods. And much of this run faster than Windows on the same spec PC. You can easily spend less than £100 and get a reconditioned PC or maybe free on Gumtree/local paper using Linux that is capable of doing most things a family would want. - If you want a games machine, buy a console. Gaming PC's are great, but not the best use of cash imho.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

Id never buy a branded one
Edit: Unless i could afford the Alienware spec PC i want... Then i would0 -
£1200 plus these days has to regarded as "Above Average" therefore "higher end". For £1200 I could genuinely build a super power but...what would I use it for because I don't see a reason given the current software availability. All core 2s and their application layer assembly can multitask at speed and therefore beyond this its just a gimick.
Buy a £600 machine, use it to do anything you want it to and give the rest to Haiti, theres kids there that have never seeen a PCComputers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.0 -
Still don't know what you want it for :undecided Anyway, I was interested to see if you could build something close to the system in the original post for the same sort of money, so had a look on Aria.
So like the original one, that has 3TB storage, 3 full HD resolution monitors, 8gb memory, 2 x 1gb ATI Radeon graphics cards (cheap ones that'll be rubbish for gaming at high res, but they'll run the monitors..), Blu Ray. Is that what you are after?0 -
Aria Computing which is where that price came from is not a bad company but I wouldnt call them cheap. Also the RMA service is poor. Better than Ebuyer though.Computers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.0

Wasn't saying they were cheap specifically but they are a typical online retailer. They seem competitive with the usual ones (Scan, Ebuyer, CCL etc.). They sometimes have very good offers in the Superspecials. If you know somewhere consistently cheaper then spill the beans0

The original company link i left wouldnt tell me the graphics card that was in there, though im def not having a cheap one like that.
Thanks for the link though, had never heard of them before0 -
