Thanks for good wishes, you're such a kind friendly lot. I'm having a great day so far. OH treating me like a princess.

Thanks for Edinburgh ideas too, really looking forward to it.

Have a good day, especially all you MAD people.

I'll probably look in again later, haven't really decided what to do. We'll be eating out so much next week, don't really fancy a restaurant meal today.

    Afternoon all!!

Just got back from doing my Mrs Mop job at my brother and SIL's. Going to kill my brother when I see him. He's doing some DIY and used their brand new dyson to hoover up loads of plaster dust. Hoovers a right mess...took me ages to clean out the filter etc. ggrr....why do brothers never grow up!?:rotfl:

OH is off to his kids school for "academic mentoring" this afternoon. Used to be called Parents Evening in my day!!:rotfl:My exciting afternoon consists of changing the beds, doing washing etc followed by going to work. I can hardly contain myself.:rotfl:

Hope you are all ok.:wave:to YM - hello!!!!

MoD and Lilith - would you like to set a pledge of alcohol free days (AFDs) for the rest of the month? No pressure of course :D Lots of posters just come on this thread for a chat....which is fine too :D

Have a great day all :hello:

    Hi Shaggy.

I would like to pledge the rest of the month. I had 3 good days this week then fell down to the free bar at the airport and then on the plane. Then bought a few beers to take home. Not feeling espectially good about it at the moment. It's such a woeful state of affairs that all day yesterday I could think of nothing but how to avoid the free bar. Got to be a sign something's not right...

Well done for making a pledge.
If you change your drinking to suit your goals, then that is good
If you change your goals to suit your drinking, then your relationship with alcohol may be deeper than hoped for.

(When people say they are going for an Alcohol free month, but then midway through the month change it to say 25 out of 31 days, they are changing their goals to suit their drinking)

Try as hard as you can (I know you will) - you said you don't get cravings so this should be ok for you. If not, then you could be correct - something may not be right......

    Thansk Graeme,

I don't get cravings, unless I am drinking. I tend to be on or off in most things in life, diet, sport, activities, fitness...

I just said to OH, I do have a problem and that is, if there is a drink in the house, and I am driniing, I will drink it until it is gone, or I am too tired and go to bed. It is a problem. I have only just started to address this, but this week has been a long journey, in a short time. I know I have issues, it's just now working out a plan to address them. I think that will be a harder trip than the one I have finally completed.

    Thanks for your support.
