English Phone in Norway!

Hi

My sister is going to Norway soon for 6 months and wants to use a phone out there.

She is going to buy a norweign sim pack when she gets there to use and so forth but if i buy her a cheap phone in this country and get it unlocked for her will if work out there?

I have no idea about this so any advice would be great

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question but when I had someone from Switzerland staying with me for a few months last year, she bought a new phone here only to find it didn't work when she got back to her own country.

Yes, as long as the phone is unlocked there is no reason a Norwegian sim card wouldnt work - its GSM like in the UK. Remember to get a 3 to 2 adapter for the charger though.

Yes it should definitely work as long as it's unlocked. I use my unlocked Easymobile phone in Norway with a Telenor sim.

Hope she enjoys it - I love it over there!
