  • Is there anywhere online that you can get instructions to do this. Would like to see how easy it is before buying a kit.

I bought plastic beads to practice with and after few practices i will make it properly with the crystals. I was worried too but i looked at it in a way of if i messed it up i lost £20'ish for the supplies, if i managed it then i have saved myself £50 on mine alone then the bridesmaids are a bonus :D

    this is the bridesmaid one:

Thats lovely. I think I may have to sweet talk my very creative mother into trying to make something for me, as I have decided that I am too cack handed! There is the added bonus that she might them get so annoyed with the whole thing, and just buy me one instead!:rotfl:(very MSE for me, not so for her!:rotfl:)

Its all about twisting and wrapping wire.

There is a bit more skill involved witht he more extravegant styles, but i am learning by trial an error. Well i say leaning i havent touched mine for a few weeks as other stuff has taken priority.

Only thing going to waste is the wire which is cheap enough.

They all look fabby though - keep it up.

There's an article on making a tiara in March's issue of Making Jewellery. It uses gold wire and red crystals but sure it could easily be adapted to be more bridal looking. I'll never need a tiara so if anyone's interested in the article, pm me and I can post it to you!

its £70 in the shops :(

just be aware it seems the one in the photo is the large one and the one you are "bidding" on is the smaller one.
