Sky Usage Tracker

Hello, does anyone else use the SKY usage tracker?
I'm on the 10gb limit package (I'd go on the ultimate, but they can't even offer the speed I'm paying for so I refuse to).

I'm, sure they're fiddling the numbers though - it says I've use 9% in 2 days. I've not downloaded anything, I've not watched any online content or music - just been on the internet - and only a few hours in the evening - mostly facebook, ebay, bbc news and couple of forums.

I've downloaded the usage tracker in the sticky, but does anyone else have any experience with sky usage limits?

Edit: Just to add, there is no-one else connecting to my network, as it's a secure network, and my router logs all connections.
My router also logs usage in the last 24hrs, which says I have used about 125mb - so find it hard to believe I've used 2gb in 2 days!

The reality is that something is using the bandwidth on your Internet connection. Who else uses the PC? What software updates are going on in the background?

Do you really think they would get away with fiddling random customers usage?

I think your maths needs a bit of work too though - 9% is less than 1GB of your allowance - not 2GB.

Ha ha, yeah, not sure where I got 2GB from

Would I put it past Murdoch to lie to his customers? hmm - pretty sure they do that every day! And especially as if you go over your limit twice in 5 months they automatically upgrade you to the higher package.

Anyway, the only other thing I can find that's downloaded anything is windows update - but only an ie update and silverlight update - and avg anti-virus.

Perhaps it's correct - but I'm not convinced, but I'll keep a close eye on it!

If it was me, the next thing I would be checking is if the usage monitor on your PC matches the usage monitor on your router.
