The bank have assured me twice that no transactions have taken place, but I still keep logging into online banking to check as I really can't afford to be out of pocket (like most of us!).
I am curious though why the thief asked for my middle name and the last 4 digits on my card - he had the blooming thing! My OH reckons they would have asked for the pin number next. Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
Aww Hun,
I really felt for you when I read this, there are certainly some scummy people about, I mean to actually come into your work place and steal when there are blatant witnesses about … just amazing ain’t it ??
I hope you don’t let this effect you, as the thief isn’t worrying like you are, well that’s until his willy falls off, (Sorry that bit made me laugh) :rotfl: Glad to see you still have your sense of humour intact!! … Let this also be a lesson to people to remind them that they should NEVER give any details concerning Card Numbers or pin Code, or passwords to anyone who claims to be from your bank … take care and keep ya chin up xx

this happened to me several years ago when i was working in someones home for local authority, i only found my purse had been stolen when bank rang to say did i want to come and collect my card. The thought that someone had invaded my privacy by going into my bag stayed with me for months. sorry it has happened to you and hope the police catch the bar steward, but he will get his come uppance one day. hope you feel better soon.:hello:What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
That sucks, some people are really the scum of the earth. Did you have anything valuable taken? If so maybe your contents insurance will cover it.
I agree with charlotte, I would have a good moan at the company. I doubt they will be held liable but it sounds like the receptionist needs some training.
I have had my purse stolen too in the past and it really does feel awful.
Hugs to you and knob rot to him!:A

ba5tard scumbag. I really hope he dies screaming in agony. I don't mean to sound un-christian or unsympathetic but thats how I am. I have no time for this type of scum (or any type, really) and if anyone says that type of comment is uncalled for, then (*blows raspberry*)
Really sorry to hear the bad news.

Not a huge amount of cash in my purse - really liked my purse though!!! Mother funky!
I think what I find most disturbing is the fact that after stealing my purse, he then rang my company asking for me by name, although he did get my title wrong. A little freaky.
I also had the company credit card in my purse (now cancelled) as I was planning to do some shopping for work this evening. As I work for a charity (and he knew this when he walked in, I find it really quite sick).
Thanks for all of your support, OH has bought me a bottle of wine and I'm now going to down a glass or two.Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
That thieving ratbag is a lowlife of the worst possible sort. I'm so sorry for the upset he has caused you, and I share your thoughts about vile disease and loss of body parts - he apparently already has no balls anyway, otherwise he'd be out earning an honest living like the rest of us.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
