I gave you the information you needed 25 metres of 22mm pipe will not supply 37kW as I hope you well know.

I've just shown you that you were wrong on this thread but you seem reluctant to admit it.

From the 831 down Vaillants have 15mm gas inlet valves.

My aim is not to chastise anyone but posting incorrect information is not 'helping the OP' is it?

please show me were i am wrong ?????????

think you are losing the plot buddy ..take a chill pill and read the man instructions :D

Hmmm still not answered the questions.

Think I will just let everyone reading this thread make up their own minds. I'm sure the RGIs on here already have.
Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D
  • worcester bosch:
instruction manual states : Under no circumstances should the size of the gas supply pipe be less than that of the appliance inlet connection ..

    think thats what i said

taken from the instructions ..just took it out of box of boiler i am fitting tomorrow

You have failed to answer the question of whether 22mm is big enough.

It is not normally worded like that, Vaillant have a 15mm gas inlet valve so perhaps I should've installed a 937 on 15mm? Mmmmm

WB have a note similar to yours in the MIs but they also go on to say that 22mm is not always needed.

Once again no manufacturer state an absolute pipesize, they specify a minimum inlet working pressure.

I find some of the information you post worrying imprecise, you seem to put up incorrect information and then nit pick with the real RGIs to hide your inadequacies.

I suppose that you're covered by your statement that people should consult a professional after getting your advice

wrong ..100% wrong ...please read my quote that i have just taken from man instructions..

You have finally answered your own question, from the MIs you just posted it doesn't tell you to use 22mm at all:T

Btw BG and worcester approved installers can install these on 15mm pipe providing they can achieve the minimum working inlet pressure. All been approved by WB.

Have fun installing that 24i Junior;)

  • just because the boiler has a 22mm inlet does not mean that the gas supply from the meter should be in 22mm. whats the load on the gas supply? all this needs working out.
the 25 meter run is 25m3/hr to give some help. so what size pipe should be used?

    you are correct ..

normally on a combi 22mm should be ok but on long runs sometimes you need a bigger pipe ..

you will find that most (not all)combi boilers need a 22mm gas pipe as per manfac instructions ...
one milibar drop is ture but still need to go by what the instruction for the boiler says ..

Do you have some form of dementia or do you have a doppelganger? Certainly looks like that's what you said.

As a BG contractor and WB installer perhaps I'm in a better place to know what WB allow BG to do than you?

Amazingly it is in writing but for some reason they didn't see fit to inform you.
