That sounds yummy Ames, I'd add lots and lots of black pepper! I'm a black pepper addict! I even carry my own little pepper grinder round with me in my bag with the best Wynad peppercorns. I refuse to use those horrible sachets of dried up pepper in cafes and restaurants.

We do use the landline when I am at home but I call them often during the day, when I am out at work. Partly because I commute an hour to work and an hour + to get home, so added onto the length of a long day, there is more time to call in the car (hands free of course) or on a lunchbreak/travelling to a meeting etc. I also want to talk to my OH when I get home!
I also like to call in the day to break up their day, and to tell them interesting things I'm seeing etc - for example I went to London last week and there were people with giant arrows made of balloons to advertise a new mobile phone, so I took a photo to email later, and rang mum to describe it to her as I walked down the road.Debt at highest: £8k. I have 900 mix & match units (one text or one minute) plus unlimited internet for £30 with a Nokia touchscreen music phone on an 18 month contract with 3 Mobile.
It's a lot per month but when I've tried a lower contract I've always exeeded the minutes and it's cost me a fortune. I don't use a landline though (although I do have one connected but its an all-in-one package with Virgin - TV/broadband/landline) and there are rarely more than 5 or 6 calls on the bill each month."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks for the idea of buying a cheap handset - I was not thinking of that as I know I need a new handset as this one is needing charging nearly every day now.
I've also discovered online that mobile phone websites sell "clearance" handsets which have been returned. Anyone got any experiences of these - or of the online retailers?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Spud I have had the brainwave of the century:j:j
I have a family railcard which gives cheaper fares if you travel with children, have you got one? If so we could book our rail fares together from Manchester to Bunnys and a return for 3 of us (you, me and your DD) comes to £43 for us all........not each:T
My eyes are bleeding now from looking at train fares but what do you think? The cheapest fares are leaving Manc on Sat at 1.30pm and returning from Wellington at 10.23am (so I can catch my return train to Durham at 1.30pm)
Waddayathink?????But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
