What shall I do re Easyjet???

We are due to fly out on Sunday to Ljublana returning on Tuesday all flights booked and paid for. I saw a post earlier which said that some flights were being cancelled due to staff shortages on flight crew. I have just spent the most irritating 60 mins on phone trying to get a response from their contact centre to confirm or deny the situation. At this stage I have not spoken to a human !!
I did a check as if I were going to book flights and worryingly Tuesday, shows no flights , so either they are fully booked or they are not flying .
I have sent an email which they promise to reply to within 20 days , but I fly on Sunday , any suggestions please????????????????????????
Also if we have to cancel the holiday , who do I make a claim against ?
(car hire/flights/hotel are independently booked)

Have you tried clicking on "manage bookings" on their website?0

I think you will find that easy jets limit of liability will be the cost of the flight. Your only likey redress is through your travel insurance.0

Just go on their website and go through the booking process. See if 4 seats are available on your flights. If they are, you should be OK.0

Thanks to all who replied , I checked manage bookings and everything is still as we planned.
Sorry for panicking:o0 -
although many flights are being cancelled they have elected also to subcharter many. Liability may in theory be limited to the cost of the flight but as the reason is not due to tech problems you should be entitled to compensation under the EU regulations. Most airlines bank on the fact that people won't bother to go through this process. Hopefully it won't be necessary and all will go to plan.Timmay!0

not wishing to cause panick lady E, but i also checked for lub to stansted on tuesday and it shows NO FLIGHTS, this does not look good in my opinion even though your booking at the moment shows its still going
i was notified only 48 hours before departure time when my flight was cancelled
at least keep checking your email for a cancellation notice and your manage bookings account page often if you cant get them on the phone to confirm the flight for you
the wednesday flight back is showing as still on...and it will be first come first served as who gets on that flight if in fact the tuesday flight is cancelled so you may need to act quickly, or think now of other options to return home if you are over there and it gets cancelled for definite
there was a story in the sun on tuesday about holidaymakers stranded for 2 days in ibiza by easyjet, i have been a victim of a cancelled flight twice now and my advice is have somebody at home who can re book a flight for you or know where the nearest internet cafe is to re- book it yourself
joining the mass hoards of angry passengers who attack the the easyjet office in the airport is not the place to be .....sort it out yourself and quickly
on the plus side easyjet arent quite as ruthless as ryanair and were quite happy to put travellers up in hotels and at least make an effort to keep customers happy...ryanair show you the exit door out of the airport and thats it..with a form telling you they dont agree with EU rules on the matter
if you look on the stansted departures and arrivals website you can see more flights cancelled today wednesday by easyjet0 -
I know the trend is going towards booking each part of a holiday separately but then this means that no other part of the holiday has liability for any other part. Hopefully everything will be OK but as someone else suggested your only comeback will be through your travel insurance.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
easyJet and Ryanair are growing fast and aren't thinking too much about their contingency plans when things go wrong. A relief aircraft provider at STN is flying for an airline at Gatwick at the moment, so availability of relief aircraft is low.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

the easyjet website IS showing availablility from LJU on tues. Any flights that have disappeared from the system are FULL. According to a reliable source as it stands the aircraft is an A319 and it is crewed as well. The flight outbound on sunday is FULL. It's a popular route. I suggest that to calm any nerves generated by speculation on this forum you may want to purchase departure protection insurance. Have a great trip.Timmay!0
