As you brought outright, SOGA act would state it had to be fit for purpose, but since you allowed for a repair/replacement i believe your rights are slightly deminished, but only slightly. None the less its less than 6 months ago since purchase so the fault still lies with the retailer.
Contact Consumer Direct, they will tell you the exact bit of the law you need to tell the shop to either get a working phone / refund - http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/before_you_buy/thinking_about/mobile-phones/#named3Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
or contact complaints dept in vodafone.. best to write letter... stating sales of goods act and that they have 14 days to reply to mail.. say you have contacted consumer direct and this is ur legal entitlement..
send via recorded delivery to there headquarters...
hope this helps... good luck0 -
Hi s5hly,
I'm sorry to hear that you have had problems with the Storm 2, unfortunately Vodafone would not be able to offer a refund on the handset as it stands.
As the handset will still be covered under warranty, you will still be eligible for a repair or exchange on the handset. Although this is something that you don't sound keen on, if the handset was deemed to be beyond economical repair by us, then we would look into offering an alternative handset.
If you would like to talk to one of our team about this and how to go about arranging a repair/replacement then please feel free to get in touch by following the link below -

Their service is poor, not there as that implies service is poor at a specific store/point. Sorry but the their/their really winds me up along with lose/loose. On the original point I have always found Vodafone's service to be excellent, or is it just the way I speak to them!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
