Abbey mortgage declined

I am quite stressed out at the moment because Abbey have pulled my mortgage offer at the last minute.

They pulled my offer because they have said that I have lived at other addresses other than my main home over the last number of years.

In actual fact, I lived at the address for over ten years but lived away from home because of university for 3 years but I am now back at my main residence.

I have appealed against the decision but do I have any hope? I'm literally tearing my hair out!!! :eek: The problem is I offered to give my university addresses to them on application ( electoral roll) but the advisor said there is no need :mad::mad:

I suggest you get on the phone and ask to speak to a manager and tell them what you have posted here...DON'T be fobbed off with a call centre person....

I've been on the phone all morning and I have sent them an appeal via fax. They have received my letter explaing the situation and have handed it over to the underwriters. Just a question off waiting for that for call I guess or chase up every day.

Yes I have. I mentioned it in the appeal.

If this was the only problem....I don't see why not....however be prepared to do some "fighting"...they're not known for applying common sense....
