  • I know im late adding to this thread but only just saw it and had to add a few of my fave marmite snacks, I have marmite with most things,
    marmite on jacket pots,
    on poached egg on toast,
    egg mayo sandwiches,
ham cheese and cherry tomato toasties,
almost every sandwich has to have marmite in it,
I roast new potatoes in, boil my veg in it, mmm....
my favourite comfort food is linguine then add a dollop of marmite, stir it in and add 'seriously vintage' cheese oh perfect!!!! And recently i did tuna mixed with vinegar & salad cream, cheese and of course marmite! The combination of flavours was loverly!!.

I love marmite too, though usually just on toast or crusty home made bread. When I was pregnant I craved marmite and twiglets all the time (along with the urge to nibble charcoal and smell creosote!)

I haven't had any for a while (marmite not babies!) - This thread is leading me to the toaster right now!

PS I can never decide what to drink with it, as coffee or tea tastes strange. Water is okay but I'm sure there must be another perfect partner. Wine?

Marmite and Tomato sandwich - delicious! For those who hate it, did you spread it on like jam or chocolate spread - because if you did, I am not surprised you didn't like it. It is very strong, so unless you are a hardened fan, it must be spread really thinly. That is really thinly - almost patchy, it's so thin!

I love it...I mix mine with the butter in a little dish before I put it on my toast...for some reason it tastes much nicer!!
