Have you checked prices using the Chiltern Line from Marylebone (or more convenient stations further out i.e West Ruislip)? You can get trains that will connect to Virgin Voyager cross country services that will go either direct to Warrington or change along the way at various stations to get there using Central Trains and/or Virgin West Coast. When looking for tickets put in to go via, say, High Wycombe, Bicester, Banbury or Leamington Spa. I've used this route many times in the rush hour and although it can take a little longer, saves a fortune.0
