International Txting

Hi I wonder if any of you can tell me if there is a cheaper way to txt to Europe please? at the moment its 50p with BT & 40 p with 3g. Also any PC sites you may know of you can txt with internationally.Thanks.

If you can get hold of an old U phone with O2(sim locked to phone) it is 5p to anywhere. I still use mine to take on holiday.

Don't use websites for sending txts. I made this mistake and all the people I sent txt's to started getting spam.

I use a program called magic message. Its a small program and is very simple to use.You just buy credit(around 9p a text worldwide) and you can even receive replies back to your desktop(free).

If you get an o2 pay as you go and take out the international option which is a £4.99 one off payment (if i remember right), international texts will cost 10p to anywhere. I use this a lot for texting russia

I found sms.ac very good and no spam reported and international is free, if you stay within the points system, otherwise I use 02 which charge 20p a msg. But some of the above alternatives look interesting and worth checking out.
