Tesco clubcard = getting paid to buy a payg mobile

I think this topic should go as an article on the MoneySavingExpert site HENCE the forum title.

Ive just been into my local Tesco and there doing 1000 extra clubcard points on selected mobiles on the Tesco mobile network. These include:

Nokia 1208, priced 14.97
Samsung M150, priced 24.97

As clubcard points are worth upto FOUR TIMES their value, you are getting upto 40 quid spend for a 15 quid phone, meaning your getting 25 quid to buy a Nokia 1208.

Or if you look at the instore value of clubcard points your getting a Nokia 1208 for 4.97 or the samsung for 14.97.

Anyone else spot this offer in TESCO????

I stumbled upon one of their £20 phones at St. Rollox and bundled it in with my general groceries. I thought, handy for glove box standby, so buy a £10 mobile top up to charge it. Gets better, I used a Telegraph Waitrose £10 off £50 on this shop, in effect getting that £10 top up for hee haw. The extra Clubcard points will be very welcome too.
    Cheerie.
