I have a bright red high gloss kitchen and the cabinets are looking dull even after cleaning with hot water.
Can anyone suggest a good cleaner please?

Hi Claire, one product that I would recommend is Gel-Gloss, it can be used on various surfaces such as kitchen worktops, marble, granite, ceramic tiles and stainless steel or chrome.
Its an environmentally safe cleaner and the polish incorporates cleaning agents with waxes that lift out dirt and produce a fantastic surface gloss.0 -
Does anyone use anything else they can recommend please?0

Regular glass cleaner works really well for cleaning high gloss doors, using those blue/chequered cloths :T0

I just use a little fairy liquid in my hot water and units always come up with a lovely shine.0

Hi Claire - and others
This is interesting - I am thinking of getting high gloss units but cleaning not my strong point. How often do you have to clean them, and how long before they go dull and tired?
Thanks

We have cream gloss cabinets in our kitchen which we had fitted in May 2008. They are still super shiny, although they are not yet two years old so I would be disappointed if they were dull.
I've only "polished" them once. (Before anyone thinks we live in a hovel :rotfl: I do always clean up spills and splashes and dust them, I've just really never had need to polish/shine them as they are still glossy)0 -

Stardrops and a bamboo cloth, polish up with a microfibre cloth (no fabric conditioner).Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I wonder if the dullness is caused by a bloom from the water you're using ? If it is, then using water sold for car radiators might be solve the problem.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I use soap flakes in warm water, dry with a soft cloth and then wipe over with a microfibre cloth, brings them up beautifully. Mine is a white gloss from IKEA and in the instructions they suggested this as an initial treatment once the protective film was taken off. I wipe marks and spills off as I go but it only has a 'proper' clean every few months and is looking as good as new.
So impressed with the shine that I use the soap solution on everything now - high gloss worktops, glass table, cooker hood, even my ceramic hobIf swimming is good for your figure, can someone please explain whales?0
