Meal Plans W/C 23/1/10

Options
I hope no-one minds me starting the thread (that is, if one hasn't already been started and I just can't see for looking - if someone posts a starting-thread at the same time, could this be merged pretty please? ;) ) I just had a quick whiz through last week's thread and was chuffed to see people who don't usually post plans had been posting what they had for dinner that evening. I will be going through them all later for a leisurely read and some inspiration for next week. I would love to read similar contributions this week too, if anyone feels a desire to share again :D

Next week I have planned:

Fruit, carrot and nuts for snacks; usaully fruit for puds, otherwise semolina, vanilla/choc pud, or custard. Girls have tea, we have supper.

Saturday
B: Cereal or toast
L: Veg burgers in sesame buns with salad
T/S: Rice noodles, greens and mushrooms in broth, followed by banana smoothie for DD, popcorn and DVD for us :D

Sunday
B: As above
L: Nutloaf, veg, potatoes and gravy.
T: Jam sandwich, crisps, banana smoothie.
S: Bubble and squeak

Monday
B: Bran and raisin muffins
L: Baked beans on toast with salad
T: Broccoli and cauli soup. Banana smoothie.
S: Veg stir fry with brown rice

Tuesday
B: Porridge with pear and raisins
L: Sweet potato and peanut (these just for me and mother) salad
T: Peanut butter sandwiches, raisins, carrot and banana smoothie
S: Penne in tomato sauce with salad

Wednesday
B: Bran and raisin muffins
L: Penne in tomato sauce
T: Celery and pea soup. Cake. Banana smoothie.
S: Roasted veg and nutty couscous

Thursday
B: Porridge with dried apricots and almonds
L: Roasted veg and quinoa salad
T: Pitta pizza, raisins and carrot. Banana smoothie.
S: Pitta pizza with salad.

Friday

T/S: Rice noodles, greens and sweetcorn in broth. Coconut pud with mandarins.

Have a good week all x

Thursday - HM Low Fat Chicken Korma with rice

Sorry to butt into the thread with an off-topic request, but do you have a recipe for this that you would be able to share? I love korma but as I'm on a diet I'd written it off. Thanks in advance :)

Woohoo - the end of another week. :j Well, nearly (ish). ;)

    This week I've got:

Friday - macaroni cheese with bacon and peas (this recipe, with added greens as I like peas in my macaroni cheese for some reason)
Saturday - chicken, bacon and red wine casserole with cabbage and HM French bread
Sunday - champys' Indonesian beef stew () with some sort of veg and rice
Monday - bacon, baked bean and potato layer bake (another forum recipe, but I can't remember whose now)
Tuesday - beef stroganoff with chips and cabbage (as I'm not now having this tonight as planned)
Wednesday - cheesy tuna pesto pasta and salad
Thursday - evening class day - lunch - leftover tuna pasta; dinner - savoury mince and peas (from the freezer) with HM bread

Lunches will be sandwiches and soup (I really will get round to making some soup this weekend - despite saying this for the past three weeks I haven't actually made any since before Christmas :o).

Snacks will be HM carrot cake, to use up some of the carrot mountain that's building up in the fridge. This OS business is so difficult to live with sometimes, isn't it? ;)
Back after a very long break!
