Tiscali/talktalk->Virgin media, Cessation charge?

If I choose to leave Tiscali/TalkTalk without using a MAC code (because I'd be moving to a cable ISP), they charge a "Cessation fee" presumably because they have to go to the exchange and disconnect their equipment themselves.

If I leave as a result of them changing my T&C's for the worse (£5 more a month + a 40Gb cap) would you still expect them to impose this charge or should it be waived under these circumstances?

No this is a BT *cough* Open Reach charge

If the mobile phone change in TOC (they learnt that the hard way) is anything to go by then :money:

I say it's a free pass :rotfl:

ISP's will probably not agree and do everything in their power to stop you :mad:

First off,if you are going to VM Cable Broadband you DO NOT need a MAC code as VM's Broadband runs thru the TV COAX side & NOT the phoneline.
VM phonelines work completely differently than BT/Talk Talk ect & is therefore incompatable with their ADSL.
