I did read about that on that article - do you use it?

Yes, my experience has been perfectly fine, and I think the vast majority of 18185 users would agree. If you have any problems you just jump ship and use one of the other override providers like 1899, since there's literally no obligation at all.

If you pay by DD and opt for paperless billing, that's what you pay.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

You're paying exactly £1.25 more than the cheapest £11.54/month - which is exactly the discount given if you opt for paper-free billing. Are you sure you have paper-free billing (or that a contra-credit is not shown further down the bill)?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    I really don't get a paperbill!
I'll have to have a look and c&p

Oh I see - the "benefit" is applied of £1.25

TBH I'd thought that was where they applied any discount you got from friends and family - can't see that in the pdf bill or on the website.
