More Than definitely do not have a full for life policy. I have had several arguments with their sales people (one last night when they rang) that there advertising is misleading. They will even tell you its for life when you speak to them on the phone until you give them a scenario of an ongoing chronic illness and then they will say, "oh yes, I see what you mean". Each time I point this out to them they say they will put it forward to their supervisor to be clarified on their ads, but of course they never do. Once you are paying your premium and you have a claim or even just visit a vet then you are stuck with them.
Their best cover is £7k per condition. So if your friend is spending, say £2k a year on her dogs illness, after 3 and half years she will be out of money for that condition and on her own. You may want to speak to her about this so that it doesnt come as a shock.
From their own site:
MORE TH>N UK Pet Insurance covers up to £7,000 of vet fees for each and every new illness or injury for the entire length of treatment, up to the maximum policy benefit while you remain insured with us.0 -
we're with pet plan and just as well as my westie developed a serious illness which cost us nearly 7k this year to treat! I wouldn't have believed it but if your little one ends up in intensive care in a vet hospital for two weeks, needing blood transfusions etc... it adds up!
pet plan paid up, no problems.0
