If its not that much why not use large plastic bags you can get blue bags in Morrions. I fill them with stuff sometime to take to tip. I also store compost in them to give away that I make myself0

You could try "The Great Escape" method on your way into work each day.
You've now put a picture in my head of someone stuffing their trousers with grass turves every morning as they leave the house for work!:rotfl:Extra Payment Every Week Challenge:

Why not make a raised bed along a wall or something?0

I would keep the topsoil as you could always use it in your garden somewhere, raised beds, lawn dressing etc and its very expensive to buy.
But obviously you need to get rid of the subsoil, so I'd ask farmers if they have any holes they need filling, as they have the machinery they could collect very cheaply.0 -
If you have a spare corner in your garden you can turn the turves upside down & they will rot and provide really good rich soil for the garden. As in a previous response if you sort your soil - Freecycle is awash with money savers who like to re-cycle everything (me included!!)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

As Silvasava said, put the topsoil in a corner of your garden and forget about it until until next year, you'll be so glad you did, as it will so much better than the crap top soils that the DIY stores sell.0
