Broadband Users May Be Charged To Even Look For A Fault.

Comments

  • It's already happening

I've been checking a few boards where there is a lot of debate about BT charging for every call out no matter where the fault lies.

Doesn't matter where the Openreach engineer finds the fault they'll charge and wait to see if we kick up a fuss

Ignorance is bliss. Especially for the big Corps as it easy money.

This all comes about as a result of the obsession that the system as a whole must be broken up.

There is no one at the front driving - I use this analogy to represent a responsible body that will devise the rules so that "the system" operates in a fair way. It is only when things start to fall apart that action may be taken to put right what should have been designed better in the first place!

With the railways, framentation cost people their lives. It took such events to bring everything back in house again (put things right), rather than the system being designed right in the first place.
