New tyre has gone on, the alloy isn't damaged, guy reckons the tyre took all the shock, I will get tracking checked though but again he reckons it till be ok as it didn't damage alloy.

Here are some daylight pics, I will be sending my letter out on Monday/Tuesday.

Then will just have to wait and see.

What tyres have 8mm to start with??
    Mine start out with 12mm...

£100 for a tyre is a lot, but there are some out there that are a LOT more... :(

I think the Continental has 8 mil to start with. It's a tyre off a BMW hence the price.
They tyre thats damaged has only done 400 miles, I have the old tyre and a receipt, the council are happy to inspect it.

I have posted this on a few forums, I am getting mixed reviews if I will get a claim accepted...Watch this space.

    And which ones are they?
  • that pothole is a disgrace. i can't see how the snow and ice could purely be the cause. It must already have been there in the first place and got bigger due to weather.

And visible to the human eye too! In which case - avoid/drive round it! Have some dreadful ones round here, just have to take it easy and be sensible or rush to the lawyers....

The second set of pictures are much better. They show that the pothole is BIG! It looked small in the first set.

Let us know how the claim goes.
