You either need to get the BT line activated and find a BB provider or go with cable services like Virgin.
Some providers like TalkTalk and Sky may reconnect the line for you and then take over that line for line rental.
To be honest I would recommend a BT line as you can have a full choice of BB providers.0 -

Why not go with BT??
I tried mobile dongles, but lost patience with the slooow speed.
Looked at various options and recommendations on this website and....
Decided to go with a BT landline - free offer on this website, saving £125. See details as to how to make it as cheap as possible with direct debit, online billing etc. My install was within 2 weeks and the guy turned up at 9am and was done less than an hour later - he had to take a trip to fix something at the exchange.
I then decided on an O2 Broadband deal - via Quidco's offer for £75 cashback. It was really quick, the service is fab and I only called once to set up.
Blooming marvellous - very happy BT & O2 customer :-)0 -
Sky and the Post office and Talk Talk will all supply the lineEx forum ambassador

Plusnet will as well - and they are half the price of BT if you need to pay for an engineer to come out, if you don't it's free with either.0

Sky will charge you £125!0

Release you don't want to go with BT... if you did they are currently offering free line installation until the end of January 2010 (saving you about £125) - http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633

Yes look at plus net.0

Plus net are owned by BT so they don't fight each other but Plus net offers a better service and probably price too depending on what you want. They also have a complete service, line, calls and broadband.0
