i did not say i want it for free
    I beg to differ
does anyone know ov a way round this without havin to pay the two hundred and odd
I dont see why it is any different to going into curry's and asking for a free tv how is it so different ? Sky tv is a luxury if you want it then pay for it.

Im sorry if i got irate with your post this just reminded me of my days as a sky installer and the times i had to put up with customers literally screaming at me because it was going to cost them for a non standard installation because it was "FREE" (usually rich or well off people) even to the point of them ringing sky and abusing them down the phone ive even been told by sky on the phone to leave the premises and that the customer will never be allowed sky because of the abuse.

Anyway instead of me giving you grief check out ebay item 170433925502 brand new 160gb sky+ for £95 plus p+p octo lnb for cheaps on there too 160396564298 grab a sky man in the street and ask him to do a cashy for you he'll love you forever lol probably install it for £30-£40 quid for you then it may or may not cost you an extra tenner a month for another multiroom viewing card hope that helps.

As an ex VM Engineer who went to Sky after redundency,I know all too well where you're coming from.
(You forgot those customers that want you to do 'extra freebees' for them, like running a red eye to the bedroom)

no i do not want it for free and i would have gladly paid for it if i was a new customer but seeing as i allready have sky i would ov thought that it would not of been so much if you get what i mean!

some people want everything for nothing and that is not me i do have the money to pay for it but was just checking if their was any offers that would allow me to get the other box without having to pay the full 260..paying for the sky is not a problem for me because at the end of the day the sky fitter would be coming to do a service that you should pay for..but just wanted to check if their was any offers out there

spike7451- hehe i think every sky installer has had to put up with this at some point or another.

rsbecki - You will have to ring sky and ask them for another card for another box they will happily send you another one out especially if they want more money for it.

if i asked them i know this is moneysavingexpert but geez talk about wanting something for nothing if you can afford the subscriptions on that lot you can afford to pay for the new box etc.

    Indeed they do, well spotted.;)
