Songs/Music for wedding civil ceremony?

Options
I'm getting married on 5th November and I'm starting to sort out the details. We are having a civil wedding ceremony and need to choose some music. Thing is, I'm stuck on what to choose.

So far, I'm thinking of Genesis, "Follow me, follow you" - nice, romantic, but as to anything else- my mind's a blank.

And, no, we don't have an "our tune".

Any suggestions, anyone? (And have already thought of, and discarded, Morrissey, "You're the one for me, Fatty"!!)

If you can think of anything that's suitably romantic, won't offend elderly relatives and would fit into the either me coming down to the front, or leaving, please suggest away!

Thanks!!

Very twee but how about John Denver's Annie's Song?
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

But my name's not Annie, and the only song I can think of with Wendy in, is Springsteen's "Born to Run" and somehow I think that won't quite do!

(Actually, it is one for listening to again. I shall put it on list! Thank you, wigginsmum)

I like "Green Eyes" by Coldplay - my OH has greeny hazel eyes...and it mentions being the rock on which I stand....which we'd all like from our OH's!

Dunno, if I stood on my OH I think he'd suffer for it!

How about "You Do Something To Me" by Paul Weller? Gorgeous song.

    Congratulations, by the way!

Why not go for one of the oldies, like something from the swing era? That wont offend the more mature in your group, and you will find the romance there. Im an young softie, so I would go for something like nat king cole or frank sinatra, orharry connick junior or something like that. One thing worth a listen to if you like that sort of thing, is Natalie Coles Unforgettable, tribute to her dad, adn theres some beutiful tracks on there, shes got a brilliant voice adn the arrangement is just lovely and sweeping on it.

You could go for something like L.O.V.E for fun or my personal favourite " you make me feel so young"

    CONGRATS!

On the wings of love? The power of love (Jennifer Rush not Huey Lewis!) Wonderful tonight ?
Or what about a classical piece - any thing from the planet suit.
