looking for cheap daytime reliable internet???
hi
could anyone point me in the right direction please...I'm looking to join an internet provider that offers reasonably priced dial up connection. Not looking for broadband and i will need it for daytime use really btw 8am and 8pm.
I usually use the internet around 5 to 6hrs per day in total and maybe 4hrs for sat and 2hrs sunday.
I am with tesco at the moment for £5.99 per months but have been finding myself using it longer than the allowed 4pm and as a result it's costing me a bit.
Cheapest i could find so far is v21 at £9.99p per month for 42hrs per week anytime.
Can anyone do any better?????

You could have a look at Tiscali. My father is paying £4.99 per month with them for dial up access on weekdays only (I think it's 8am - 6pm). For £7.99 I believe that you can have the same time periods 7 days a week.
Best of luck.something missing0 -
My son and I both had v21, I experienced many long frustrating delays tryin to get on line, my son has no bother.
Fast4net is a sister company of v21 and reading comments of their users over the weekend, it seems that you'd be ok getting online during the day, but evenings CAN be irksome.
You'd do well to study https://www.ispreview.co.uk/ where all ISP's are fully previewed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I use flexi surf.
It costs £5 a month for around 60 hours a month.
Can be used any hour of the day or night0 -
V21 appears to have many related sites, ie Fast4net and Flexisurf, to name but a couple.
If you are a user of Flexisurf, how do you rate the service, ie.
do you get connected first time every time?,
is daytime surfing better then evening?,
do you loose connection,?
what is customer service like,?
what happens if you exceed your 60 hr quota?
yes, you guessed it, I would like to change ISP and am looking for a cheaper dial up that is reliable. islandmanThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I recommend fast4.net and was a customer of theirs until I went broadband with e7even.To infinity and beyond!0

Yes Mike I know, however the recent bout of posts from fast4 users are suggesting poor log-on connections during the evening and not a great deal to shout about during the day either. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. was with fast4, for £6.99 the service was good, sometimes could not connect, but no worse than the many isp's i had used. and that was alot.

adsl now so no more dial up for me.0
