Oh yeah sorry I missed all the replies yesterday - there is a round white thing sticking out - but if that was broken the light wouldnt work at all would it? Its currently lighting up at each end in a sort of dull orange but not clicking into the proper light if that makes sense...

Yes - it's the starter - they're only about £1 ish, they normally give out way before the bulbs do. (and yes they make the bulb glow but don't "start" it.)

Morning all. Absolutely persisting down here in rural Oxfordshire....but at least I'm not on the side of the Village with no water due to a burst main!

Was planning on servicing one of the cars today.......maybe not. Pepe.

Okay so peeps I need advice...a flat has come up:
    http://www.acquaintcrm.co.uk/PropertyUpload/PropertyDetails.asp?SitePrefix=MCKC&ID=824

Its near where I am now but not so close to the station...I get my bonus on Monday so could use that as deposit but I'd have to give notice on my room now and move (hassle) but I'd be getting my own place rather than sharing...

But here's the big one its more rent than I pay now (only £25 a month more) plus bills would be more as well. I've been really craving my own space, but I've just got sorted money wise...I can afford it but it means money will be tight again instead of comfortable...

    What do people think?

Becky....nice location and the kitchen is separate from the living area which is good. ( and you could get a job at MI5 just across the River:D)

  • Beck.. could you afford it with the added bills? Would you be able to get any local housing allowance and council tax benefit?

    Grrrrrr my post got lost....

Becky - would you be happy with the pull down bed - knowing how much you love your bed :D... Is the weekly price including council tax, if not how much extra would that be? Oh and how safe is the area - ground floor (or raised ground floor) flats are more likely to be broken into - would that effect your insurance?

Thats true - I need to look at it first :o, but my friend has one and its pretty comfy

CT is about £100 a month

They do of sorts - go to google maps and see ;), I think its prob not MI6 anyway but thats what its says!

Yes I can and :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:no have to pay for it all myself sadly

I think I will leave it for a bit...I really want to move out but I also really dont want to get into debt again...there's a possibility of a promotion at work in the next 6 months so if I get it I will look again I think :D

Thanks guys for the help :D:money:
