Grr... dodgy 3rd party charges on new phone!

Since switching to a new phone and tariff with T-mobile at the end of May, I've been receiving 'Sunshine Quiz' text messages. I had my suspicions about whether I would be charged for them, which turn out to be correct: I've been billed £6 for 4 messages! I was unable to verify this until today, when I received my bill, as it's virtually impossible to get through to T-mobile on the phone... sigh.
Anyway... the nice man in the Carphone Warehouse got me through to them on the phone. The man at T-mobile tells me that the company that has been texting me (Zamano) legally can only do so if I have requested to be texted... and have to disclose a way to cancel the messages. I certainly didn't request them. They did mention a number for cancelling, but here was no way I was going to cancel without knowing how much it would cost me to cancel! (And in any case, why should I have to?)
So. I have Zamano's number (0870, naturally) and will shortly be kicking their butts. I'm not going to drop it until I've got my money back.
THEN I'm going to make a fuss with whoever is meant to regulate these things.
So:
- Can any of you heplful folks refer me to the people I should be making a fuss to?
- Should I be blaming Zamano, T-mobile, or all three, for abusing my new number?
- Any tips gratefully appreciated

Did you change numbers? If so I bet you've got somebodys old number which is why you get the spam texts, as they registered for it before.
I'd say it's really the senders fault. You haven't requested this service so they cannot charge you for it.0 -

Could well be then. A brand new number has quite possibly been used before.0
