Port Number with Retention deal

I have two contracts nunning on o2 and 3, the contracts will end in March and April repectively. I want to gain an iphone through retention deal with o2, but want to port my number from 3 which is my main number, I'll be terminating the 3 contract, probably a month early to coincide with o2.

So is it possible to port the number from a terminated contract during retention?

Is this too confusing?

I may be wrong but I think you can port your 3 number over to o2 at any time, so whenever you want to cancel your 3 contract, just ask for the PAC, then phone o2 and give it to them.

It shouldn't affect any contract you're on or retention deal you agree with o2.

Thanks. hope you're right. I thought perhaps that numbers could only be ported at the commencement of a contract.

That's only with Voda. All other networks let you port in at any time in the contract.
