Uuurgh Asda in Hulme is always awful. Try taking it back to the Eastlands Asda, they're much nicer and a lot more helpful there0

I don't understand why fluffytrollop insisted on a refund instead of just getting another bike? If your complaining that your son still hasent got a bike why didnt you just get a nother. And how is it that you say you lost all your recepts and then add all of last years up. sounds a bit sus to me.0

There were no more of these bikes.
I checked this.
Last years' receipts were in the filing cabinet in the lounge. The builder totalled the kitchen by exposed and then breaking up a huge sheet of asbestos, so I had no use of anything in there and because of all the contaminated dust, wasn't able to retrieve the paperwork or anything else that wasn't wipe clean.0 -

He stated company policy was not to refund for the bike without a proof of purchase as it could have been stolen.
It could have been.
"After all madam you might have stolen it" is what is quoted in the OP.0 -

You abused the staff etc who are legally 100% correct
You didnt have any proof of this so called HO correspondence.
Who exactly is being unreasonable here?
Take it back with a receipt or contact HO again and ask them to deal. Its not fair to expect staff in a store to risk being sacked and do a dodgy return.
What the manager says is also very fair. Its very common for thiefs to return goods hence the process.
It's "thieves".
Why didn't the OP ring customer services herself and pass the phone over?0 -

That would be front page news in our local rag, T&A. This week they ran a story about a bloke banned from all Co-ops because they said he abusive. He claims it is because he is deaf. Totally one sided towards him, unluckily for them a couple of people that have met him around the town have commented on the website saying he is abusive if he has to queue etc, then blames it on his deafness. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
