Do you have to return it to that particular ASDA store?
If it is an ASDA brand, i am sure it doesn't make a difference where you return it to, and the staff there may be a bit nicer.
Make sure you print off the email before you go though..just in case.
The ASDA that i use is great, the staff are lovely, and i have returned items a few times, and for the record if it is an ASDA brand the packaging can be used as proof of purchase, but they will only refund the price of the item as it sits on the shelf that day. To get the correct refund you will need the receipt.0 -

I always get my wife and my father to proof read my formal letters, not just for typos like the ones you point out, but for things that will make sense to me, and not to anyone else.0 -

Thanks for this Biscit, busy ere what with kitchen disasters etc etc so this is very appreciated.
I totted up what I spend, and for the sake of losing business coming to £14,500 a year (going thru old receipts from last year) a refusal to make a refund of £30 is ridiculous - look at the maths - it aint brain surgery lol.
Couple of useful things came out - that I should find a better place to keep my till receipts than the kitchen, obviously, and not to assume good customer service.
Well, I really do appreciate folk taking the time to respond anyway, so thanks for your help.0 -

Contact ANDY BOND ASDA the Ceo for he is No. 1 . Under the SALE of Goods ACT 1982 IT IS REQUIRED THAT THE GOODS SHOULD BE OF MERCHANT ABLE Quality they have this duty - If parts are missing and you Cannot put it together - Then there are two options Write to the local rag see if they will print your story- Write to the CEO at ASDA for resolution of the matter - also get in touch with trading standards of your area (find them under You Gov. com ) for advice - , They sold you an item that has to be safe to use, Even if the parts are missing - The Customer Service Manager at ASDA HQ in LEEDS has the overall respondsibilty for the company not the store manager, He is looking at this for what best for the company and you - So find your e-mail print it off - how did you pay for it - Cards or Cash- your proof could on the statement - If a credit card is used you may be covered by the Credit Card Company under their rules- Best of luck- Blow yer Bugle and Bang yer Drums .0
