You best snap it up carolt.

With the 30% drop (and 2 years extra savings?) you will be able to furnish it out the way you want it for the same price.

If it was good enough then why is it not now, has you or your partner had their income reduced within that time?

You were intending it to be your family home weren't you? So what's changed?
  • People are being ppr'd for a hell of a lot less.

    Nonsense.

I get far worse aimed at me on a weekly basis, and nobody's been PPR-ed for it yet.

But seriously, what on earth was that little story meant to prove?

Don't buy a perfectly mortgagable house and wreck it so badly it's only suitable for cash purchasers?

    No kidding!!!!!

How on earth does that prove......

Proving a crash is easy, just identify the area you are discussing, like pretty much every other poster on here does, and we can all check the indices. Refusing to do so only confirms her tales of ongoing crash are fiction.

I guess he finds crashaholics annoying.

Having a pop of folk with unsubstantiated stories is too easy. It's like a vietnam war vet resisting temptation to shoot down an unarmed gook.
  • I enjoy the anecdotal on here. I am not a believer in the 'person who' fallacy. It is reliable evidence brought to us by our members in the field. keep up the good work carol :)

Its normally Pobby king of anecdotes..............his nephews, nieces, neighbours friends of friends.

The bloke has more tales than jackanory.

Perhaps its true, but does she expect a wrecked property to hold any sort of value, other than to fall?

Sounds like a good opportunity to me,shame shes so readily dismissed it at a knock down price.
  • Anecdotal is good.

From some its believable, others its complete fabrication, purely for spectator value.

Either way, it's now ASKING - not getting, mind - been on a good few weeks now - about 35K less than they paid and we would have paid. Given recent local selling prices, on properties in good nick, I doubt they'll get more than 70% of what they paid, for a wreck requiring a cash buyer.

How much is it up for? A reduction of £35K on a £500,000 house is not a huge amount, but would be on a £150,000 property.

How about a link so we can all see the supposed crash?
