Need help choosing a mobile phone

Looking for help to choose a new mobile phone. I would like one with a reasonable camera, access to the internet and email. I'm not very technical so need one that is easy to use.
Would like one with maps, GPS so that I could use it as a SATNAV.
I have a very, very old Nokia at the moment, on Virgin PAYGO.
Wouldn't mind a contract, up to £20 per month, to include internet access, just to check emails mostly or maybe watch iplayer in my lunch hour.
Able to read PDFs/Word docs would be good too!
Have a long short list!
So far Samsung M8910 Pixon seems to have good reviews, or thinking of Samsung Jet, LG Renoir, LG GT505, or a Nokia 5800, 5300, N86.
Can't afford an iphone. N97 has very good reviews, but seems to be unreliable, to not on my list.
Any other suggestions? All advice very welcome.
Thanks!

I have the Nokia 5800 and have had no problems with it. It does have GPS and maps but unless you pay Nokia there is no voice guidance. I think the Google Maps application can also give you on the go sat nav.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Hi,
I have an LG GT505 and currently have problems with the battery life. I have had a replacement and that is exactly the same. Please be aware that Orange know about the problem.0 -
Thanks, looks like the LG GT505 is off my short list!0

You can now get free navigation on compatible Nokia's from this link - http://www.nokia.co.uk/apps-and-services/ovi-maps/main
The 5800 is listed as a compatible model.0 -
T-Mobile Combi 20, with a G2 mobile phone (HTC Hero).
HTC lets you watch iplayer, just download the bbc iplayer for free application. Google maps comes as standard.
Google Navigation (like tomtom) is coming to UK andriod phones for free. HTC Hero/G2 will get it as a free update.
Probably the best value phone for your needs and is an android phone so plenty of support.
The market this year is pretty much andriod based, with sony, samsung, HTC, motorola and unknown brands all coming up with andriod based phones. Only blackberry, apple and nokia are continuing with their own software.
Anyway, T-Mobile do the G2 for £20 a month. You will need to pay for unlimited internet, bring it to £25 a month. Use quidco.com for cashback when you sign up.0 -
Thanks greyster, I will go into T-mobile and have a little play around with the HTC Hero.0
