Pwllheli Haven has its own station called Pen-y-Chain, but isn't very close to the town.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

Sorry if I have misled you.. the Seashore park is a very short taxi ride from the train station but within comfortable walking distance of the seafront/town centre + they have a land train you can catch if you don't want to walk.0

I think there's a haven in Paignton, it's on a bus route ( stop is right at the front gate) on the main road to the zoo"Put the kettle on Turkish, lets have a nice cup of tea.....no sugars for me.....I'm sweet enough"0

Don't think there's a Haven in Paignton.0

There's not a Haven in Paighton. I can tell you that Thorpe Park in Cleethorpes is a long walk from the railway station but theres a bus that runs on to camp- be about a 10 minute journey on the bus, 40 minute flat walk. Primrose Valley is about 7 miles from Scarborough railway station, but you can walk along the cliff tops to Filey which is a little town , that walk would be about 30 minutes or walk along the beach is tides out. Blue Dolphin is a similar distance from Scarborough but no beach access- think you would have to walk the road way around into Filey which is quite a way. The same bus calls at both camps. Theres one in Weymouth which i stopped at years ago, you could walk into town from there- again a fair walk0

I know you asked about Haven so this may be of no use at all, but the Butlins Skegness is walking distance to the station and right by the town centre.
I would also be interested in the answer to this.
Its about 4 miles from the station!!
Next to a bus station though so convienient for public transport:rotfl: Big Momma to 5 kids:rotfl:
Always looking at ways to save money or earn it!!!
Now could always sell a few kids;)0 -
As someone who uses the train to get to Yarmouth this is what we do, three of us take the take the coach from outside the station, its cheaper than the Taxi and goes to the caravan park, get of at the top not the first one, short walk to the club house to get your keys. The other two walk, five minutes into town get the shopping thats needed, Icelands is right next to the bus stops as is the 90p/99p shop. Then get the bus back with the shopping.
Overland train expensive but fun for the kids, tour does as it says, gets there in the end.Mind you if he is quite he'll do you a good fare, lol. Then there is main town bus run bus they do do a good deal on the day tickets but beware some of the drivers are funny about the kids ages and dont accept the kids local passes. Then there is the small hopper bus,you get this across the road by the hotels opposite the cinema cheaper still for a quick run into town.
If anyone can tell me of another way to get to another Haven /holiday site by Train/bus i'd be grateful getting bored with going to the same place.
Ps we walked it one year, with wheels on the cases we thought it would be a breeze,we walk every where as a rule but never would we do that with cases again, ten minutes on the bus, 45 mins by foot with a 5 yr old ,lol0 -
Has anyone discovered any more camps close to train stations yet? We have stayed at Seashore in Gt Yarmouth a couple of times and the walk to the station took about 40 minutes. One year we stayed at Vauxhall in Gt Yarmouth as that's across the road from the station lol I expect it would have beeen a nice holiday had we not arrived in their worst storm for years!0
